Numbers 17:10-12

¹⁰ The Lord said to Moses, “Return the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a warning to rebels, that you may put an end to their complaints before Me, or else they will die.” ¹¹ Moses did so. As the Lord commanded him, so he did.

¹² The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Behold, we expire, we perish, we all perish.
